Consolidation Plus is the most optimal and cost-effective way of delivering goods from Ukraine to the USA, combining the speed of air transport with the availability of group shipments. The principle of operation lies in combining many orders from different sellers into one large box, which travels to the Western Bid logistics hub in Miami, where it is unpacked and handed over to local services (USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL eCommerce) for final delivery to the customer.

If you are looking for a way to ship internationally quickly, but without unnecessary costs – pay attention to the the Consolidation Plus service. This is a shipping format that helps thousands of sellers on Etsy, eBay, Shopify, and other platforms find a balance between a reasonable price and predictable timelines.
How does consolidated shipping work?
Several parcels from different shippers are consolidated into one large batch and delivered express to the USA. This makes the final shipping cost per individual parcel significantly lower than sending each separately.
Western Bid has been applying this logistics model for many years and has its own warehouse in Miami, where all consolidated shipments are processed. After arrival in the United States, each parcel is forwarded individually — directly to your customer.
Delivery takes place in two stages:
Ukraine → USA (Miami) → customer
This process enables reducing costs without compromising delivery quality, thanks to:
- special terms of cooperation between Western Bid and the world’s leading logistics providers,
- bulk discounts on large-volume shipments that we process daily,
- our own parcel consolidation in Kyiv,
- ongoing efforts to improve service and increase the number of parcels.
Among the types of consolidated delivery, the most popular is precisely “Consolidation Plus”. Below are its key features:
- maximum declared value of contents – up to $100;
- maximum weight – 7 kg (actual or volumetric);
- delivery in Miami via FedEx;
- customs clearance of the entire batch as a whole (that is why the maximum value of the contents is $100) – this enables shipments to the USA with prepaid duties (DDP) to minimize fees and avoid problems at customs;
- the ability to deliver not only to the USA, but also to Canada, Europe, and other countries by the chosen method. You can learn about the available delivery methods from the USA here.
Additionally, we have alternative options – «Consolidation Direct» and «Consolidation Optimum». For more details about the differences, features of these deliveries, their tracking and communications with customers, see the article.
In the rest of the article you will find practical instructions, packaging requirements, and a list of countries to which delivery via Consolidation Plus is possible.

Please read the information before shipping and follow all instructions:
1. Provide the correct weight and dimensions. If the weight or dimensions are understated, the parcels will be returned to the Kyiv consolidation center, where they will await re-issuance of documents. Measurements must be taken from the outermost points of the packaging.
2. Pack the parcel well, seal the corners, and firmly affix the label.
Note: in order for your parcels to be scanned faster and not require manual handling by postal staff (and thus reach your customers faster and not incur extra handling charges), please follow the straightforward postal service packaging requirements:
- Do not wrap consolidation parcels with film, stretch film, or kraft paper (you may wrap the item inside the parcel with a protective film).
- Do not completely seal the parcel with tape.
- Replace cylindrical tubes with square or triangular packaging.
The postal service rules allow:
- to send a courier package and seal it with tape in several places (but not completely!);
- to wrap the parcel with tape in only a few places to keep its shape;
- to wrap the item inside a cardboard box with film/pouch;
- to place cardboard boxes inside a courier bag;
- courier bags are allowed for packages up to 2 kg of actual or dimensional weight.
3. It is necessary to print the barcode and attach it to the parcel. The label will be affixed to the parcel at our Miami warehouse. The tracking number will be available in your Personal Account immediately after processing the delivery. You can print the barcode at any time in your Western Bid account after processing the delivery.
If you are unable to print the required barcodes, you can write the tracking number, recipient’s first and last name on the parcel; we will print everything needed ourselves (if you are sending up to 3 parcels).
4. The declared value of the goods in a single parcel must not exceed $100. If your item costs more than $100, but you still want to send it using consolidation, read this article.
5. If you are sending several parcels to our Kyiv consolidation center, be sure to include a list of them.
6. We warn you that when shipping you must provide only truthful and complete information about the cargo to avoid delays in processing. If the contents are incorrectly declared, your parcel will be delayed at customs, and you will bear full responsibility for violating customs laws. All parcels are scanned. You are also responsible for informing your customers about possible duties upon receipt of the parcel. In the event of loss of the parcel, insurance payouts are made in accordance with the declared value of the contents.
7. If you created the shipment by mistake, or provided incorrect shipment information, please do not ship the parcel. You can cancel the shipment yourself. Details on how to do this are here.

The longest side must not exceed 40 cm, the others must not exceed 35 cm.
Please note! Measurements must be taken from the packaging and from the protruding points themselves. If the size is specified incorrectly, the American postal service will not accept parcels with incorrect dimensions, will set them aside, and then they will need to be located.
7 kg (per parcel; unlimited number of parcels) in the USA.
For Consolidation Plus shipments to other countries: maximum weight no more than 2 kg, the sum of the three sides no more than 91 cm, the longest side no more than 40 cm, the others no more than 35 cm.
Packages sent via Consolidation Plus using UPS SurePost or USPS Ground Advantage (usually weighing over 450 g) must be at least 3 cm thick.
Packages sent via Consolidation Plus FedEx 2Day have two packing options:
- Fedex Pak – use only courier package. Maximum actual weight must not exceed 7 kg. Maximum dimensions: 29.85cm x 37.5cm x 12.5cm. Volume (LxWxH) must not exceed 10.000 cm3.
- Fedex Box – maximum dimensions: 44cm x 31cm x 7cm. The maximum actual weight must not exceed 7 kg.
A firm request: do not wrap shipments for consolidation with plastic wrap (we recommend wrapping only the item inside the shipment with protective film). The plastic wrap makes barcode scanning more difficult, which significantly complicates the processing of shipments and increases delivery times.
Calculated weight
The price calculation for UPS MI shipments with volume up to 1 ft3 (a cubic foot, equal to 28300 cubic centimeters) is based on actual weight. That is, if you sent from Miami a box with feathers measuring 30 cm x 30 cm x 30 cm and weighing 10 grams, you pay for 10 grams, not for the box’s volumetric weight of 5.4 kg.
The price calculation for UPS MI shipments with a volume over 1 ft3 is based on dimensional weight, using the formula: Length x Width x Height / 6000.
Delivery times
The consolidation center is currently located in Kyiv. From Kyiv, the package will depart for Europe, from there it will fly to Miami by FedEx delivery. And then on to your customers. The planned delivery time is 7-8 days to Miami and a few more days – to the customer
Maximum investment amount
The value of the contents in each parcel sent to a single recipient address must not exceed $100

The duty rate for shipments to the USA from Ukraine is 10% of the value of the shipment. An additional charge may also be levied on the shipment for the customs code (TN ZED / HS Code) and broker services. More details here.
Shipments from Western Bid from Ukraine are organized with prepaid duties in the USA (DDP) to minimize charges and avoid problems at customs.
All charges are automatically calculated in your account when arranging the shipment.

What documents are required for shipment?
You need to print the barcode and affix it to the package. The label will be affixed to the package at our warehouse in Miami. The tracking number will be available in My Account immediately after the delivery is arranged. You can print the barcode at any time in your Western Bid account after the delivery is arranged.

Return of the parcel in case of non-delivery
USPS – free to the address of the Western Bid processing center in Miami, USA.
UPS, FedEx, DHL – return shipping is charged.
Are there items that are not allowed to be forwarded?
Yes, there are items that are prohibited from being shipped abroad. Packages with such contents may be confiscated by customs authorities or returned to the sender at their expense. Please, before sending parcels, review the list of items prohibited from shipping.
Please note that at the moment the logistics of delivering international packages with UPS Economy DDU are built in such a way that tracking starts only from the moment they arrive at the international hub in New York, where they are physically scanned by UPS (approximately 3-4 days after the parcel is shipped from the Miami warehouse). At this stage, the parcel is assigned an alternative number, which provides more detailed information about the movement of the shipment after it leaves the United States territory. This number is available on the UPS site in the “View Details” – “Shipment Details” section. To obtain information for the alternative number you can use the service track.westernbid.com or another resource for tracking mail within the buyer’s country.
How does the Consolidation Plus logistics scheme work?
The method is based on the Last Mile Delivery principle. Your parcel goes through the path: a branch in Ukraine → Western Bid Hub (Kyiv) → Flight to the USA (Miami) → Sorting at WB warehouse → Transfer to USPS/UPS → the buyer. This helps avoid delays at transit customs of third countries, since the cargo flies on a direct flight.
What are the delivery times to the buyer’s door in the USA?
The average delivery time by the Consolidation Plus method is 7–12 business days. This is significantly faster than standard postal shipments, which can take up to a month, and allows you to compete with local American sellers.
