* Under payment processing (in this context) the involvement of Western Bid in a trade deal in which goods are purchased from a Western Bid client and sold to the final customer. Western Bid receives (or accepts) payments only for the goods sold. A payment (in this context) is the amount transferred to the address of our foreign trade agency by the foreign buyer. The payment goes through the payment system PayPal or Stripe, and the system deducts a transaction fee. Our commissions amounting to 4% are charged on the amount received by us after deducting the PayPal or Stripe fees. Western Bid’s commission is not charged on the sales tax, which may be included in the payment amount received from the payment system.
Example 1
A bank transfer has arrived for the amount of $2000. Our commission will be $50, not $80 (4% of $2000.00).
Example 2
A payment by check for $1.00 has been received. Our commission will be $0.04 (four cents).
Example 3
A payment via PayPal for $100 has arrived. PayPal’s fee is 1.9% + $0.30 (for US payments); 2.9% + $0.30 (for payments from other countries), i.e., $2.20; our commission is 4% of the balance, i.e., $3.91 (4% of $97.80 – the amount received after deducting PayPal’s fee). Therefore, if you receive a payment of $100.00 via PayPal, you will be able to withdraw $93.89.
