At the Western Bid center in Kyiv, the service of issuing a culturological certificate for the export of paintings, sculptures and other works of art is once again available, provided that they do not have cultural or historical value.
Cost of the service
The cost of the culturological examination is $25.
- The amount is charged to your account Western Bid.
- Payment is charged in any case, regardless of the examination result.
Who this service is for
- For artists, galleries and private individuals who send paintings, sculptures and other works of art from Ukraine abroad.
- For Western Bid clients who use express delivery with FedEx, UPS or Plus / Optimum consolidations and have art objects in the shipment.
- For those who need a culturological certificate for customs clearance of shipments outside Ukraine.
How cultural expertise is carried out
- You send the item to Western Bid’s Kyiv center by regular mail.
- You inform in advance that the shipment requires cultural expertise.
- After receipt at the Western Bid center, the item is unpacked, checked against the provided photographs, and handed to the inspector.
- After inspection, the item is repackaged.
Based on the results of the examination, either a certificate is issued and the parcel is prepared for shipment abroad, or the item does not pass the examination.
If the item fails expert evaluation
It stays in Kyiv. You can:
- collect it in person;
- or arrange a return delivery at your own expense.
Delivery restrictions
The cultural expertise service is available only for the following types of shipments:
- express delivery via FedEx or UPS;
- consolidations Plus and Optimum.

In the letter, please indicate:
- tracking number;
- high-quality photographs of the item.
Important
Please, do not send items that may have real cultural or historical value. Such items do not pass cultural expertise and cannot be shipped abroad.

How to order a cultural expert assessment
- Prepare the item for shipping and take high-quality photos.
- Write to info@westernbid.info, indicate the tracking number and attach photos, stating that a cultural expert assessment is required.
- Send the item to the Kyiv center of Western Bid, wait for the assessment result and then either proceed with international shipment, or arrange a return.
