International shipping of parcels from Ukraine to the USA – this is the most frequent request Western Bid receives. And it’s no surprise, because, as our many years of experience in e-commerce shows, it is in the United States where the majority of customers who order goods from Ukrainian sellers are located.
Optimum Consolidation is a service that helps to ship goods from Ukraine to the USA at the most affordable price. But here the importance is not only savings and the low cost of cross-border shipping, but also reliability: your parcel will not end up in the “general” risk with other people’s cargo. Each shipper preserves independence during customs clearance, and this protects you from delays if any individual parcel raises questions at customs.
Why is this so profitable?
The essence of consolidation delivery is that several separate shipments are combined into one general batch on one of the delivery legs, so you pay less and the parcels are delivered individually.
Western Bid has been using this method of cargo handling for many years to provide sellers with a balance of cost and delivery quality. For handling shipments in the United States, we have our own warehouse in Miami.
This delivery takes place in two stages:
Ukraine → USA (Miami) → to the final customer by the delivery method of your choice.
But Consolidation Optimum is an enhanced form of consolidation delivery. The main, but not the only, advantage of Consolidation Optimum is that each parcel is processed separately, independent of others, yet all parcels are shipped together on pallets via direct flights from Warsaw to Miami.
Using this delivery, you save thanks to the wholesale pallet-rate for transportation, while maintaining the ability to “protect” your parcel from others’ customs hassles. If a check happens to affect one of the shipments, the others are not delayed and continue on their way to customers. If, for some reason, U.S. customs wants to inspect your parcel specifically, the rest of your parcels in the consolidation will not be affected and will not have to wait for the inspection to finish.
An additional plus is that you can insure and declare the value of the shipment up to $800. This significantly expands the list of goods that are convenient to ship this way. For example, if you sell something heavier than the usual 7 kg or more valuable than allowed by Consolidation Plus, then with Optimum there are no such restrictions – you can ship a parcel up to 120 cm x 120 cm x 100 cm in size and weighing up to 70 kg.

Optimum Consolidation is an enhanced type of consolidation delivery offered by Western Bid. The main difference lies in the mode of transport:
- Direct pallet delivery:
Packages are not sent in separate boxes, but as part of pallets, which allows faster and more efficient transportation of goods. - Direct flights:
Packages from Kyiv depart to Miami on direct flights, which reduces transit time and minimizes the risk of delays. - Individual customs clearance:
Each package is customs-cleared separately, which eliminates the situation where the entire batch could be held up at customs.
These features make Optimum Consolidation a great choice for those who want to combine affordability with reliability and stability of delivery.
Key advantages of Optimum Consolidation:
- The most affordable price. Packaging and shipping features allow us to offer the lowest prices, especially for parcels up to 10 kg.
And a reduction in shipping costs will allow you to increase your revenue per order or improve your competitiveness by lowering the price. - Protection from customs delays. Customs clearance is performed for each individual parcel on the pallet, not for the entire consolidated shipment, which helps avoid delaying the entire batch if a customs inspection is required.
- Ability to price and insure up to $800. Now you can ship via Consolidation even for expensive parcels, as Optimum Consolidation can be valued and insured up to $800 (unlike Consolidation Plus, where the maximum is $100).
- Delivery of oversized shipments at affordable prices. There is no 7 kg limit as with Consolidation Plus, which makes it possible to send bulky and heavy goods and batches to our Fulfillment Center in Miami.
What’s important to know:
- The value of the contents of a single shipment must not exceed $800.
- Maximum package dimensions: 120 × 120 × 100 cm.
- Last-mile delivery is available only within the United States.
- Packaging rules remain unchanged:
– Use cardboard boxes or courier bags.
– Do not use stretch wrap.
– The packaging must have a proper geometric shape. - Labels:
If you cannot print the label yourself, we will do it for you at the Kyiv warehouse. For this, you need to indicate on the box the tracking number, the recipient’s surname, and the postal code.
How does Optimum Consolidation delivery work?
Preparation and shipping start in Kyiv. You create a shipment in your Western Bid account, enter all the required information and receive a real last-mile label, which you affix to the parcel. Then you send your cargo to the Kyiv sorting center, where it is palletized together with other parcels. After customs clearance in Ukraine, the pallet is taken to Warsaw, from where it is already flown directly to Miami.
In the USA, Western Bid specialists meet the cargo. They perform customs clearance and sort the parcels, handing them over to the ‘last mile’ service – USPS, UPS MI, UPS Surepost or UPS Ground – at your choice. All this happens quite promptly, and soon your goods end up with the recipients.
Thus, you get a service that combines an affordable price, accelerated delivery and prudent risk distribution. This model is convenient for both small online sellers and for those who periodically ship something larger and heavier than the standard-format parcels of other delivery methods.
