That is, the number of people buying goods and services through stores created with Shopify. Shopify&#8217;s own revenue is $4.9 billion for the first three quarters of 2023. As of 2024, Shopify had 700 million consumers. By the way, this statistic is very inaccurate because it creates the impression that it is like a Marketplace. Well, there are 48 consumers on Etsy, 700 million consumers on Shopify. Don\u2019t let this statistic distract you because it\u2019s the number of customers each individual store attracts for itself. 79% of Shopify&#8217;s total traffic comes from mobile devices, and most importantly, what we need to know is that the success rate of Shopify stores varies from 5 to 10%. Interestingly, this statistic is almost the same in almost all countries. 95% of all businesses fail on average, and only 5% survive. Especially the second and third quarters. So, at that time, revenues were about a billion dollars. Which is also quite a lot, but still. And now, over three years, we are talking about, after the pandemic\u2019s surge, most marketplaces, not like eBay, for example, not Etsy, after that, greatly declined. But Shopify did not fall. Shopify continued its growth, from half a billion dollars to 1.7 billion in the third quarter of 2023. By the way, here\u2019s another interesting Shopify statistic: how much they earn from subscriptions. They take $29 a month. Since 2015, when it was $111 million, up to 2023, they earned only on subscriptions $1.3 billion. I am not talking now about other forms, apps, etc. Various themes that people purchased.
